“～をしたいんですけど？” ~ “I would like to but…..”

Some students were absent this week and so for the 1st time in a long time, here is a lesson post.

First we did a quick vocabulary review for about 10 minutes.

We did free talk "What's new?  What's new?" for 20 ~ 25 minutes....

We did another quick vocabulary review for a couple of minutes....

Then we taught and practiced “～をしたいんですけど？” ~ “I would like to but…..”

for about 10 minutes

And we spent the rest of the class finishing up Section 2 of the bus story...

Whew!  As you can see it was a busy week.

Time to Clean...

When I went to the Kawanakajima School I noticed that a lot of leaves had fallen off the trees in front of the school.  

Aiden and I spent a couple of hours sweeping them up.

It was tough work but it was better than shoveling snow.

"どうなってきている" ~ How is it getting?

It is hard to believe that it is December already.
I hope you are all keeping warm!
Some students today asked me to give some examples of "get + けいようし” and so....
Here you go.

December 
The nights are getting longer and the days are getting shorter.
And even though it gets dark pretty early these days, I don't mind.

Why don't I mind?  Because I love Christmas in Nagano. 
For me it gets better and better every year.
If this is your first winter here, I hope you aren't getting tired of the cold yet.
You might think it is cold now but in January it is going to get a lot colder.
Don't worry though.  After a few years though, you will gets used to it.

Bounenkai Season
I am also getting excited because BOUNENKAI season is almost here.
I am looking forward to getting together with friends and family.
But since we are all getting old and we should try not to drink too much this year.  
Don't get too drunk

During the holiday
Stay warm and try not to get sick.
If you are sick already...  Get better soon!
Living in Nagano .... It can't get any better!  


It is getting late and I am getting pretty hungry.
I better get ready to go.  It's 7-11 time.

今月のクラフトイベントは、木を使ったメダル、家、貯金箱作りでした。父の日のメッセージも書きました。
たくさんの素敵なデザインを見ることができて、とても感動しました！
また来月のイベントで、皆さんにお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

Rainy season has come!

At this month's craft event, we made medals, houses and piggy banks.
After we were finished we wrote messages on them for father's day.

It was a lot of fun and as always I was really impressed by all of your great designs.
Looking forward to seeing you all at next month's event.

今月、and LIFE でイースターパーティーを行いました！

私たちは、英語で、子どもたちと一緒に玉子に飾りつけをしました。たくさんのお友達が来てくださり、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。来月のイベントでも皆さんに会えるのを楽しみにしています。

This month at "and Life" we had an Easter party. We were on the 3rd floor decorating eggs with kids in ENGLISH. Lots of kids came and it was a lot of fun.
